Avery Bradley was named to the 2015-16 NBA’s All-Defensive First Team today, further proving how detrimental the hamstring injury to Bradley was to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs.
Kawahi Leonard, Chris Paul, Draymond Green, DeAndre Jordan, and AVERY BRADLEY make up the 2015-16 NBA All-Defensive and all I can do is shake my head. What could’ve been if Avery Bradley didn’t get hurt in Game 1 of the Celtics’ first round series with the Atlanta Hawks. Would we be seeing Game 5 between the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics tonight? Probably not considering how well LeBron and the Cavaliers played against Hawks in round two, but we will never know.
All I know is that the Celtics really, REALLY could have used Bradley’s perimeter defense when Kyle Korver, Kent Bazemore and Mike Scott were nailing three pointers left and right in Games 5 and 6 for the Hawks. Ugh.
Also, score one for Lehigh’s CJ McCollum who was right when back in early April he tweeted that Bradley was the best perimeter defender in the league:
